This year’s event saw another bumper attendance of over 250 people. Spectators started arriving early and the barbecue was up and running at 6.30 and didn’t stop until the first firework at 8.00pm.
Thank you to Helen, Robin, Julie and Lorna for manning the BBQ, Edward and Phillip as stewards & Anne as the First Aider.
The fireworks as always were well worth the wait and everyone was very generous in filling the bucket - Thank you to Jim.
We are pleased to report after all the costs, the evening raised over £700 which will be donated equally between this years “Poppy Appeal” & our “Village Diamond Jubilee Fund” to support next year’s celebrations.
This kind of event is only made possible by having the support of Frank and Maria and all their staff at the White Rock and the understanding of all those who live near by.
